The Slatington Library is looking for donations of handcrafted items, gift certificates, gift baskets or like new items for its 15th annual Chinese auction on Tuesday, Sept. 20.Items can be dropped off at the library.The library is looking for any member or former member of the Endless Hills Doll and Toy Collectors Club. The library has a doll case that belongs to the club and would like to return it if possible. Please call the library.The Wonderful World of Wildlife summer story hour has begun. Story hour will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday mornings and will continue through Aug. 10. Children ages 4 through fifth grade are invited to attend. All are welcome.The library staff and board members would like to thank everyone who has made a donation to their annual fundraiser. Please consider donating. The library relies on this fundraiser to provide its operating expenses. Any amount is greatly appreciated.The library accepts book donations, with the exception of encyclopedias, text books and Reader's Digest condensed books. There is always a used book sale in the library. The library is changing the price of its sale books. Hardcover books will cost 50 cents and paperbacks will cost 25 cents.Library hours are Monday and Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., closed Thursday and Sunday.
