An elderly Easton man was injured and flown to a medical facility following a one-vehicle crash in Schuylkill County. State police at Frackville said the crash occurred about 5:25 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, along Interstate 81 in Delano Township.

Troopers said Charles L. Sapoff, 71, was driving a 2010 Honda Civic southbound when the car went onto the right berm and hit the guide rail. The vehicle then deflected back onto the road and across both lanes where it struck a concrete barrier under an overpass on the opposite side. The car came to rest about 75-feet from the point of impact.Sapoff was flown by LifeFlight helicopter to the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, for treatment of what troopers said were moderate injuries.The car sustained heavy front end damage.
