Slog scores a pair of runs for the winners, who also receive three hits and two runs scored from "Peka" Daniels. Johnny Kozak, who has an RBI triple in the contest, gains the pitching win. He tosses seven shutout innings before running into trouble in the eighth. He also walks four and strikes out five. Joe Fignar contributes to the win with two hits.
