Trinity Lutheran Church, Lehighton, was alive with singing Thursday night as 51 children took part in the closing program of vacation bible school.

A restaurant and kitchen environment provided the props for the school, titled "Shake It Up Cafe: Where Kids Carry Out God's Recipe." Each child received a chef's hat, place mat, recipe box and other items in a goody bag to take home.Children also enjoyed daily Bible stories, crafts, games, snacks and songs.Kelli Carpenter, director of Christian education, credited the support of the church, community and the dedication and time of the 44 volunteers for the success of this year's vacation bible school.
