Man in custody after crash

West Penn Township police took one male into custody after a traffic accident early today at the intersection of state routes 309 and 895 in the village of Snyders. The crash occurred just after 3 a.m. when a car was found on its roof along the east berm of SR309 just north of the intersection. A short time later police found a male behind a nearby strip mall and took him into custody. It is unknown if any other persons were in the vehicle. The male was evaluated at the scene by Lehighton paramedics and released. Responding to the scene were the West Penn Fire Co. No. 1 and fire police. The name of the person was not made available this morning by police.
