Bishop visit

Bishop Paul Marshall, will visit St. Mark's/St. John;'s Episcopal Church, Race Street, on Sunday, June 26. There will be only one worship service that day and it will be at 9 a.m. in the main church. A reception will follow the service in the great hall.Takes first placeBailey Becker, a St. Joseph Regional Academy student competed on Saturday, June 4, in the USA Powerlifting competition at the Lehighton Recreational Center. Bailey placed first in bench and in dead lift for his age category. He has been doing extensive training with his uncle, Thomas Skelly, Jr., at ""Skelly's Barbell Club." Skelly, also competed in the bench competition and took first place. He is now ranked 22nd in the United States.BloodmobileThe American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be stationed at Memorial Hall on Wednesday, June 29, from 1-6 p.m. You must be 17 years of age or older to donate to this worthy cause.Smoke detectorsThe Jim Thorpe Fire Department has free smoke detectors for Jim Thorpe borough residents.
