The Tamaqua Education Association (TEA) honored nine retiring teachers from the Tamaqua Area School District during its retirement dinner held on June 10 at Capriotti's in Tresckow.
TEA president and master of ceremonies Frank Wenzel, Tamaqua Superintendent Carol Makuta, Elementary Assistant Principal James Fasnacht, TASD President Larry Wittig, former principal Tom Ponting, and other TEA and retirement committee members, welcomed the honorees as they spoke of their many accomplishments during the ceremony.TEA officers also in attendance were vice president JoAnn Dobrosky, second vice president John Buglio, secretary Sharon Chromiak and treasurer Tom Kanger.
