Good Samaritan robbed at gunpoint

A good samaritan had a gun pointed at him and was robbed, according to state police at Schuylkill Haven.

Troopers said Jordan Berg, 22, of New Ringgold, was driving along SR61 southbound in West Brunswick Township, Schuylkill County, about 3 p.m. on Monday, June 13, when he stopped at a disabled Chevrolet Blazer along the southbound side of the road to offer assistance.The Blazer was stopped near Fessler's USA in Deer Lake, troopers said.One of the persons from the Blazer got into Berg's vehicle and when he started to transport them away the person brandished a handgun at Berg.Berg managed to get away but did sustained an injury in the incident.Troopers did not indicate what, if anything, was taken or what type of injury Berg sustained. The police report labeled the incident a robbery, recklessly endangering another person, theft and simple assault.The Blazer was tan in color, troopers said.
