Pocono arrests

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on the following arrests made by officers.

On Tuesday, May 10, about 11 a.m. officers arrested Thomas Crawford, 30, of Albrightsville, at his residence on a warrant. He was charged with burglary, criminal trespass and theft. Crawford was arraigned before a district judge and released on unsecured bail.Crawford is charged for allegedly entering a residence in Long Pond and removing a laptop computer which police said they recovered at his home.Also on Monday, about 1 p.m., police arrested Justin Franks, 23, of Tobyhanna, on a warrant charging him with theft, receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of a vehicle and driving with a suspended license-DUI related. He was arraigned before a district judge and bail was set at $10,000 percentage.Police said Laura Franks reported Justin Franks, her son, took her vehicle without her permission. Through an investigation it was also learned that Franks allegedly stole his mother's jewelry from the home and sold it in Mt. Pocono for $200.Franks was involved in another incident on Monday, May 9, at Bills Shop Rite in Mt. Pocono. About 8:24 p.m. officers were called to the business for a report of an intoxicated and disorderly male inside refusing to leave. Upon arrival officers made contact with the person, identified as Franks. He showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance.He was arrested and charged with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.On Monday police were called to the Walmart store in Mt. Pocono for a person in custody by store security for retail theft. Upon arrival officers were told that Sara Hickey, 22, of Long Pond, was observed attempting to leave the store with six, five hour energy drinks without paying for them. She was cited and released.On Tuesday about 8 a.m. police were dispatched to 19 Hemlock Trail in Pocono Pines for a domestic dispute. Upon arrival officers determined a 15-year-old male juvenile had assaulted Karen Baxter, 51, of that address. He is charged with striking Baxter in the mouth causing a tooth to be chipped.He was arrested and will be charged through the county juvenile probation officer with simple assault and harassment. He was placed in the Lehigh County Juvenile Detention Center, Allentown, pending a hearing before a Monroe County judge.Also on Tuesday officers responded to an incident reportedly involving a weapon at 4210 Hunter Drive, in Stillwater Lakes. Upon arriving at the residence Andrew Wiggins, 47, of Pocono Summit, was arrested. An investigation revealed that Wiggins had allegedly threatened to shoot his wife.He was charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment. He was placed in the county prison pending arraignment, police added.On May 6 about 3:06 a.m. officers on patrol in Mt. Pocono observed a male walking southbound on SR611 staggering and appeared to be intoxicated. The man was identified as Nigel Clarke, 38, of Mt. Pocono.While speaking with Clarke it was determined he was under the influence of alcohol and was placed under arrest for public drunkenness.On April 18, about 10:37 p.m., officers were dispatched to a disturbance at a residence in A Pocono Country Place. Upon arrival officers were told by Jonathan Pyle, 20, of Tannersville, that he was assaulted by Robert Danieleski, 44, of Tobyhanna, after he had accused Danieleski of stealing money from him.Danieleski allegedly tackled Pyle when he called police and a short scuffle ensued. Danieleski fled the residence before the arrival of police.Police said a charge of harassment was filed against Danieleski on information received.
