State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating a one vehicle crash that occurred shortly after midnight in which the driver is facing charges.

Troopers said the crash occurred along Ann St., near Chestnut St., in Norwegian Township. Troopers said Kyle W. Linkchorst, 26, of Girardville, was driving a 2011 Toyota Camry westbound and down a hill while approaching a left curve. For unknown reasons the car traveled onto the north berm for about 40 feet before impacting with a utility pole with the right front end.After impacting with the pole, Linkchorst backed up and continued westbound and into Pottsville. A Pottsville police officer observed the car and made a traffic stop.Linkchorst and passengers Christine Paulukonis, 32, of Girardville, and Dustin T. Makara, 28, of Zone Grove, were all not injured, but a third passenger, Shawn M. Rakus, 29, of Shenandoah, sustained minor injuries, troopers said.Troopers said Linkchorst was cited for driving a vehicle at a (un) safe speed and other violations.
