Two area residents among 15 arraigned on criminal counts

Two area residents were among 15 who were also arraigned on criminal charges this week at the Schuylkill County courthouse with all entering pleas of not guilty and requesting trial by jury.

Gregory J. Covell, 41, of 171 First St., Coaldale, charged by Coaldale Patrolman Charles Blesse, with driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol and drugs and failing to have working rear lights on his car.John P. Dankulich, 55, of 337 Valley St., Brockton, charged by Trooper Todd W. Heinz with possession of a controlled substance (CS) and drug paraphernalia and driving while operating privileges were suspended.Michael David Lesher, 25, Gratz, Dauphin County, charged by Trooper David Beam with five counts each of simple assault, terroristic threats and recklessly endangering another person.Ryan Shane Gernert, 30, Cressona, charged by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman William I.
