A New York state resident is facing charges following a shooting incident in Monroe County.
State police at Lehighton said about 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, troopers responded to an area along Shafer Drive, in Polk Township. As a result of an investigation troopers said Jason Robert Jaure, 23, of Brentwood, was charged with several counts of reckless endangerment and criminal mischief.Troopers alleged that Jaure fired several shots onto a neighbor's property. He was target practicing near a neighbor's property line while attending a party. Several rounds traveled into the neighbor's yard causing damage to two vehicles and a shed, troopers said.
