A man wanted by authorities in Maryland was arrested in Carbon County following a vehicle stop.
State police at Fern Ridge said Brian Mark Chapman, 40, of Crofton, was stopped for speeding about 10:50 a.m. on May 27 along Interstate 80 in Kidder Township.A check revealed Crofton was wanted in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, on two active felony warrants.He was taken into custody on the fugitive warrants. Troopers said he will also be charged with speeding and driving without a license.He was arraigned before District Judge Edward Lewis, of Jim Thorpe, and lodged in the county prison in Nesquehoning after failing to post 10 percent of $50,000 bail.
