A Schuylkill County woman was killed in a one-vehicle crash early Sunday morning.

State police at Schuylkill Haven identified the victim as Kristin Prokop, 25, of Pottsville.Troopers said the crash occurred about 12:26 a.m. along SR901 at the intersection with SR209 in Branch Township.Troopers said Prokop was operating a 1998 Ford Bronco and left the parking lot of Amigos Mexican Grill going eastbound at a high rate of speed.The vehicle traveled off the right side of 901 and struck a telephone pole at the intersection with 209. Upon impact the Bronco overturned and came to final rest on its side in the corner of the Kane Steel Company property.Prokop was not wearing a seat belt, troopers said, and was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy is pending to determine the exact cause of death.
