The Carbon County Salary Board approved the following changes during its monthly meeting last Thursday. The changes are as follows:

Clerk of Courts• Change the rate of one part-time automation clerk from $9.25 per hour, to $9.53 per hour, effective June 7.Sheriff• Change the rate of one deputy sheriff from $12.04 per hour, to $12.40 per hour, effective June 21.Animal Shelter• Change the rate of one part-time K-9 officer from $9.35 per hour, to $8.56 per hour, effective June 2.Children and Youth Services• Establish the position of one county caseworker II at $14.64 per hour, effective June 14.• Abolish the position of one county caseworker I at $13.29 per hour, effective June 14.Corrections• Change the rate of one part-time administrative assistant from $9.91 per hour, to $10.21 per hour, effective July 6.• Change the rate of one part-time cook from $10.03 per hour, to $9.45 per hour, effective June 2.Election Department• Change the salary of one director from $31,413.20 per year, to $32,359.60 per year, effective June 7.Parks• Establish the position of one part-time seasonal park maintenance person* at $8 per hour, effective June 2.Planning and Development• Establish the position of one project coordinator at $31,413.20 per year, effective June 2.• Abolish the position of one assistant director at $34,634.60 per year, effective June 2.• Abolish the position of one programs technician at $10.40 per hour, effective June 2.Liquid Fuels Summer Program• Establish the position of three summer laborers* at $8 per hour, effective June 2.* Excluded from the retirement plan, not anticipated to work 1,000 hours.
