Two Tamaqua businesses cited

Two Tamaqua businesses have been cited by the Allentown enforcement office of the state liquor control board.

Keystone Fish & Hunt Club, 421 Nescopec St., and Pine Street Tamaqua Inc., 401-403 Pine St., were cited.Keystone was cited for violation of local option small games of chance act and department of revenue regulations for failing to maintain complete and truthful records covering the operation of the licensed business for a period of two years immediately preceding Feb. 7Pine Street Tamaqua was cited for used, permitted to be used on the inside of licensed premises, a loudspeaker or similar device whereby the sound of music or other entertainment, or the advertisement thereof, could be heard outside.These charges will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge.
