A McAdoo man lost his appeal in Schuylkill County Court from a motor vehicle code violation charge.

Patrick B. McCarthy, 28, of 110 S. Cleveland St., McAdoo, was adjudged guilty by Judge Charles M. Miller of the charge of driving while his operating privileges were suspended and a fine of $200 plus $50 costs was imposed after a hearing in the county court. McCarthy was cited by Trooper Pal E. Hardnock Jr. when stopped last January on Interstate 81 in Kline Township.Miller also handed down rulings on eight other summary appeals taken from rulings made by district justices.Donald J. Seifert, 39, Pine Grove, changed his mind and entered a guilty to a charge for failing to have the proper commercial driver's license and was fined $50 plus $50 costs. He was cited by Trooper Jason J. Richter when stopped last March 5 on SR61 in West Brunswick Township.Ruben A. Rodriguez, 41, Pennsauken, N.J., was adjudged guilty of the charge of disregarding a traffic lane and careless driving and was fined $500 plus $50 costs. He was cited by Trooper Michael D. Mannchak when stopped last Sept. 21 on SR209 in Schuylkill Haven.Anthony A. Antonio, 63, Drexel Hill, was adjudged guilty of failing to stop at a red traffic signal and was fined $25 plus $50 costs. Antonio was cited by Pottsville Patrolman Joseph R. Welsh, last Feb. 4.Henry Purcell, Minersville, was adjudged guilty of a violation of an ordinance of Cass Township pertaining to an exterior property structure and was fined $300 plus $80.50 cost.Sarah Carson, 21, Feasterville, was adjudged guilty of driving a vehicle with an expired inspection certificate and was fined $25 plus $50 costs. Carson was cited by Pottsville Patrolman Joseph J. Krammes, last Sept. 3.Trevor J. Wissinger, Williamsport, was found not guilty of a charge of speeding in Lavelle, Butler Township when the arresting officer failed to appear for the court hearing.Marilyn Stefanski, 67, Shenandoah, was adjudged guilty of trespass on private posted property and was fined $100 plus $23.50 costs. Stefanski was cited by Shenandoah Patrolman George F. Carado Jr.Stephanie Tarapchek, 42, Ashland, changed her mind and entered a guilty plea to a charge of failing to have a dog vaccinated for rabies and was fined $200 plus $150.50 costs. Tarapchek was cited by Ashland Patrolman Michael D. Aulenbach, when the owner failed to produce a receipt for rabies vaccine after the dog had bitten a person.
