If one man's kindness to another can be measured in inches, then George Bevich has logged hundreds of miles in his lifetime. The Summit Hill resident, hailed as the "Good Samaritan of the Panther Valley," was honored as the Summit Hill Community Improvement Organization's 1984 Citizen of the Year. Bevich was presented the plaque by SHCIO president Edith Ann Szczecina. He also received plaques and gifts from numerous other organizations for his service.
