Coaldale police and firefighters responded to a two-vehicle accident just before 5 p.m. Tuesday on SR209 in the Seek part of Coaldale. Reportedly, David Olinger, Lansford, was driving a tan Oldsmobile Intrigue eastbound when he swerved into oncoming traffic and impacted the driver's side of a red Subaru Legacy driven by Catherine Figueroa of Coaldale. Figueroa was treated on scene by paramedics for multiple injuries, including an injury to her right arm, and then transported via Lansford ambulance to St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital in Coaldale. Olinger refused medical treatment. Officer Keith Krapf is investigating. Fire police closed and detoured traffic during the response and cleanup.
