Two persons were injured, one seriously, in a one car crash Tuesday afternoon along SR903 in Penn Forest Township. The incident occurred just after noon as the car was being operated just north of the Turnpike overpass. For some unknown reason the car crossed the roadway traveling down an embankment and impacting with a tree head-on. The injured were treated at the scene by members of the Lake Harmony ambulance and the Lehighton paramedics. The driver was flown from the scene to a Lehigh Valley area trauma center while a child was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital Center by ambulance. State police at Fernridge are investigating the incident.
