Alan Thompson, Swoyersville, stoops inside a bucket over 60 feet high as he mixes mortar for facade work at the Scheid's Department Store building, currently Tire Pros, 24-26 W. Broad St., Tamaqua. Thompson worked in high humidity and 90-degree heat on Tuesday but said temps are a bit cooler near the top of the four-story building. Assisting Thompson on the month-long project is Adolph Rasmovicz, Kingston, stationed at street level near the scaffold. The two men are employed by Roccograndi Construction Co., West Wyoming.
