A 17-year-old Lehighton female was cited after she crashed her vehicle after becoming distracted while searching for an iPod she dropped.

State police at Lehighton said the incident occurred about 6:20 p.m. on Friday, May 20, along Stagecoach Road, in Towamensing Township, Carbon County.Troopers said Morgan A. Myers crashed her 1997 Toyota Camry after losing control. The vehicle traveled off the road and struck a street sign and tree. Myers was not injured.She was cited for careless driving.
