A harassment complaint led to the arrest of a Tamaqua man who was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

Borough police received a phone call at 11:15 p.m. May 17 from April Reznick, of 108 Hunter St. Reznick wanted to file a complaint against Marc Tita, 30, of 232 Center St., saying he had been calling her on the phone and making threats.A records check indicated there was an outstanding warrant on Tita.Approximately 90 minutes later officers found Tita at 410 E. Elm St., in the home of Henry Winger.Tita attempted to escape through the rear door but ran back inside after he saw an officer waiting for him.He was found in the basement behind a pile of boxes.Tita was transported to the Schuylkill County prison, Pottsville, due to the outstanding warrant.Police were also notified that Lehigh County probation was placing a detainer on Tita.
