Lansford man jailed for assault

A Lansford man spent some time in the Schuylkill County Prison last week following a domestic dispute.

Tamaqua police were dispatched to a possible domestic at 231 Pine St., May 19, at 2:30 a.m. When they arrived, they found Jacob Bynon, 30, of 305 E. Patterson St., Lansford, standing on the porch with resident Chrystal Milner. Milner was crying and visibly upset telling officers Bynon had grabbed her by the throat, twice, because he was upset that she had gone out. Bynon set her free when her mother, Angela Wagner, yelled at him.Bynon was taken into custody and charged with simple assault and harassment. He was transported to the prison, Pottsville, where he was video arraigned. Bail was set at $15,000.Bynon was unable to post the required 10 percent and was lodged in the prison.
