The L.B. Morris Elementary School will hold the fifth annual School Walk on Monday, June 6. As the event draws closer, information will be sent home with the students. The event will be held at the Jim Thorpe High School track from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Students participating are in grades kindergarten through eighth.

This year the school has chosen the Jim Thorpe Police Department DARE program as its recipient. The police department volunteers its time for this educational program and there is no funding for this program. Donations for this event are welcome and appreciated. If you have questions, please call the elementary school.There will also be many activities planned for the day, such as blood pressure screenings, fingerprinting, mock sobriety checks, crime watch, DARE displays and police displays.
