Lansford man jailed for assault

Christopher Miller, 22, of 235 E. Ridge St., Lansford, faces charges from an incident which took place on May 4 at 9 p.m. at his residence.

Charges of simple assault and harassment were filed by Officer Joshua Tom. Miller was arraigned before District Judge Edward Lewis of Jim Thorpe and jailed under $25,000 percentage bail.According to an affidavit of probable cause, here's what happened:Tom and Officer Brian Horos received a call about an active domestic disturbance with possible weapons involved at 235 East Ridge St. Upon arrival, they were met by one of the involved parties, Andrew Miller.Miller told police he had gotten into an argument with his younger brother, Christopher Miller, over some missing personal items.Christopher Miller retreated into the kitchen, at which time he grabbed a black and silver kitchen knife and began threatening the life of Andrew Miller.Andrew, being in fear for his life, was able to take the knife away from his brother.Christopher Miller then began head-butting Andrew repeatedly in the back of his head. Andrew lost control of Christopher, who retreated to the second floor and called the police.
