The charming daughter of a Mauch Chunk native has won the heart of Hollywood's "most eligible" bachelor. She is Gloria Hatrick McLean, whose engagement to James (Jimmy) Stewart, was announced over the weekend. Mrs. McLean is a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Edward B. Hatrick of of New York. Hatrick, a brother to Mrs. George S. Shindel of Lansford, left Mauch Chunk a number of years ago to carve a successful career in the New York publishing field. (Editor's Note: Stewart married McLean in 1949 and they remain married until her death from cancer in 1994).
