'The Law of the Garbage Truck'

The other day when I was driving toward town, I had the misfortune of following a garbage truck. The road was narrow and I could not pass. So, my mind started to think about what I call, "The Law of the Garbage Truck."

I thought about how many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, frustration, anger and disappointment. As their garbage piles up higher and higher, they need a place to dump it. Sometimes, they'll even try to dump it on you.Don't take this personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well and move on. Don't, however, take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home or on the streets. The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day, even if they have to follow one. Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So ... love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don't. Life is 10 percent what you make it and 90 percent how you take it. May I wish you a blessed garbage-free day. From the pen of,K. TregerLehighton
