Mischief incidents

State police at Lehighton reported an arrest on an individual for criminal mischief and probing other mischief incidents.

Troopers said Michael Muniz, 35, of Palmerton, was charged following an incident that occurred about 2 p.m. on Friday, May 13, at Silver Springs Blvd. near Kunkletown Road, in Eldred Township, Monroe County.Muniz is accused of damaging the 2010 Kia Optium of Carl Nothstein, 50, of Lehighton, at that location. Damages were estimated at $1,404.88.Troopers investigated an incident at 222 White St., Apt. A, in Weissport. Amy Sue Fritzinger, 30, of that address, reported two windows on her apartment were smashed. The incident was reported at 12:15 p.m. on May 8.Troopers said on Saturday, May 14, about 9:12 p.m. criminals arrived in a darked colored Volkswagen Jetta at Sunnys Jonas Market, located at Box 1626, SR534, in Kunkletown, Polk Township, and a male approached the front door. The male then pulled on the front door. Realizing the business was closed the male then punched the door damaging the glass. Damages were estimated at $300.Sherri Marie Letterhouse, 40, of 156 Shafer Rd., Kunkletown, Eldred Township, Monroe County, reported someone smashed several windows on her vehicle while it was parked at her residence. The incident was reported at 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 15. Damages were estimated at $1,000.Anyone with information concerning any of these incidents is asked to call troopers at 610-377-4270.
