Carbon County Safe Kids and Palmerton Ambulance will host a free car seat check up on Tuesday, May 24, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Palmerton Community Ambulance, 501 Delaware Ave., Palmerton.

Parents can have their child's car seat checked by a safety specialist to make sure the seat is properly installed; as well as see if the seat's expiration date has passed, if there are any recalls on the model, etc.To assure the most accurate check, parents are asked to bring the child that uses the car seat.The free car seat check up will be held rain or shine.
