A contested race for nomination to four open four-year terms on Summit Hill Borough Council shook out with Democrats Francis O'Gorman Jr. was the top vote-getter with 464 votes; incumbent Michael Kokinda II was second-highest with 429 votes; incumbent Michael Alabovitz with 388 votes and Jesse Walck came in at 331 votes, according to unofficial tallies.

Trailing were Karen L. Ruzicka with 258 votes; Thomas A. Tkach with 231 votes and Louis Alexander with 205 votes.There were 8 Democratic and 67 Republican write-in votes, but the names have yet to be released.
