Tamaqua district to host film fest

The Tamaqua Area School District will host its 6th Annual If (Independent film) fest this Friday, May 20th in the TASD Auditorium at 7 p.m. Tamaqua students will showcase their film-making talents in this black-tie, red-carpetcelebration of the arts. Admission is free for those who dress up. Casual dress admission costs $1.00.

The If festival was started back in 2006 by Tamaqua Alumni Eric Hillegass, a talented student-turned-professional film-maker. It has turned into a much anticipated annual school event held by Tamaqua Area High School's Media Club. This year's participants areRachel Confer,Nicolai Kabana, Joe Rudy,Josh Guscott,Vicky Krouse, and Spencer Bennett.Come out to support your local film-makers!
