SHENANDOAH, Pa. (AP) - A pair of structures have been renamed in honor of a Pennsylvania lawmaker killed in a 2008 car crash.

The Schuylkill Historical Fire Society rededicated its museum in Shenandoah to state Sen. James Rhoades on Saturday. On Sunday, the Cappella Vietnam Veterans Memorial Home Association dedicated a pavilion in the Schuylkill County Republican's honor.Rhoades died in October 2008 in a head-on collision with a drunk driver in Monroe County. Thomas Senavitis was convicted of reckless endangerment and drunk driving in the crash that also seriously injured Rhoades' wife.The Pottsville Republican and Herald reports Rhoades had helped secure state funding for both projects.Senavitis' attorneys said it was Rhoades who crossed the center line, causing the head-on collision.
