East Penn Science Masters are the top 'Snoops'

The Science Masters of East Penn Elementary received first place awards for being the top team in the second and third grade (Snoops) division at the Carbon County Environmental Education Center's annual Envirothon, held at the facility in Summit Hill on Monday. The Science Masters, a third grade team, included, seated on rock from left, Dominic Licini; Rachael Desanto; William Kocher; Aijah Hill, captain; Samantha Miller; and Sherry Snyder, team adviser. With them are Scott Dudley, Lions Club District Governor elect, left; and Jeannie Carl, CCEEC naturalist, right. Dudley was representing the area Lions Clubs who sponsored this year's event. Other teams that placed are: Plant Warriors of Franklin Township Elementary, second; SS Palmer Parrots of SS Palmer Elementary, third; and Blue Eagles of Tamaqua Elementary, honorable mention.
