DUI arrests

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported on the following driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made by troopers recently.

On Saturday, May 7, about 8:50 p.m. troopers stopped Howard Wolfe, 51, of Saylorsburg, along Old Route 115 near Kunkletown Road, in Ross Township, Monroe County, for a motor vehicle code violation. Wolfe was found to be under the influence and was taken to the barracks for a breath test. He will be charged with DUI, troopers said.On Sunday, May 8, about 2:25 a.m. troopers stopped David R. Andreas, 29, of Lehighton, along SR248 at SR895 in Bowmanstown, Carbon County, for several motor vehicle code violations. He was found to be under the influence and taken to the barracks for a breath test. He will be charged with DUI, troopers said.Also on Sunday, about 7:54 p.m., troopers stopped Regina Dreher, 29, of Lehighton, along SR209 at Bridge St., in Lehighton, for a traffic violation. She was found to be under the influence and in possession of drug paraphernalia. She will be charged with DUI and possession, troopers said.On Monday, May 9, about 1:35 a.m. troopers stopped John Shamro, 32, of Albrightsville, along SR534, near Lower Middle Creek Road, in Polk Township, Monroe County, after observing him drive erratically. He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was then taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test.The DUI charge is pending the test results, troopers said.
