Carbon man facing harassment count

A Carbon County man is facing a harassment count following an incident that occurred on Sunday, May 8, about 8:30 p.m. involving his dogs and a neighbor's dog.

State police at Lehighton said Dana Horning, 30, of Aquashicola, was walking her dog in the area of 7 Little Gap Rd., Lower Towamensing Township, when two pit bull terriers belonging to Richard Marsteller, 45, of Palmerton, exited his residence through an unsecured door and attacked Horning's dog.Horning then yelled for help and when Marsteller arrived, he was told by the victim to secure his dogs. Marsteller allegedly told Horning to shut up and if she did not, he would let his dogs attack her. No injuries were sustained by the victim or her dog, troopers said.Marsteller was charged, troopers added.
