If you like fast cars, the smell of racing fuel, the sounds of cars racing and fans cheering, you will love the Weatherly Hill Climb which takes place on June 11th and 12th.
Drivers will be coming from all over the East Coast, the New England states, and the Midwest to challenge the one-mile hill in Weatherly which is one of the most difficult hills to run.On Friday night, June 10th, at 7 p.m. there will be a weekend kick-off parade through downtown Weatherly and drivers, sponsors, youth groups, and townspeople are encouraged to participate.On Saturday the 11th and Sunday the 12th, racing will be held between 9
a.m.and 4 p.m. each day, plus, this year on Saturday evening at 5 p.m., the first ever Hill Climb 5K run/walk will be held.At dusk on Saturday, all are invited to watch the firework show at the borough property on Plain Street, while all weekend long there will be yard sales within the community.Once again, the National Guard will be doing a display at the Hill Climb and participating in the parade.Concession stands, games, and the dunk tank will also be available at the event and there is no charge for parking or admittance.This truly is a family fun-filled weekend which is based around the community where it is all about Weatherly pride.
