Blood drive

WZZO will be sponsoring a Blood Drive with The West End Kiwanis, Polk Volunteer Fire Company and Miller-Keystone Blood Center on Wednesday, May 11, at the Polk Fire Company, Route 209, Kresgeville, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.The first 99 donors will receive a WZZO T-shirt. Hours will be on Saturday, May 14, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Free bread is given every Saturday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. The building is located a half-mile past the PVE and PVI schools on Polk Township Road. It is sponsored by the Seventh Day Adventist Church. In the event of rain the event will be the following day, Sunday, May 15 from 1-5 p.m.The Scouts will be displaying all sorts of activities and programs that they participate in and much more, so come out and see what Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts are all about, have your questions answered and participate in different activities.Boy Scouts is for a boy who is 11 years old, or one who has completed the fifth grade or earned the Arrow of Light Award and is at least 10 years old, but is not yet 18 years of age. The Cub Scout age program is for first graders through third graders Tiger Cubs, Wolf Scouts, and Bear Scouts.
