A Monroe County driver is facing charges.

State police at Lehighton said John J. Lamp, 31, of Kunkletown, was stopped about 9:18 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, along SR209 in Polk Township, for a traffic violation. At the stop police said Lamp was found to be under the influence and in possession of a concealed weapon without a permit. He is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) and a weapons violations charge, troopers said.
