Mary Ockenhouse of Jim Thorpe was named Pro-Life Mother of the Year at a banquet held by the Mid-East Region of Pennsylvanians for Human Life. Dolly Bogusky of Allentown, last year's recipient, presented Mrs. Ockenhouse with a savings bond and an engraved bowl. Mary and her husband Richard of Jim Thorpe are currently caring for 14 children, including 11 foster children, in their home. Some of these children are physically or mentally handicapped, but all are hardworking students and all are involved in extra-curricular activities.
