At the April 27 Nesquehoning Borough Council meeting the Nesquehoning Ambulance president John McArdle presented the council with five fully stocked Trauma Bags. This was a donation made to the borough from the Ambulance Corp officers and members specifically earmarked for three police vehicles and one trauma bag each to the New Columbus Fire Company and Hauto Volunteer Fire Company. McArdle remarked that at a recent police department training conducted by the ambulance corp members it was discovered that the trauma bags were a much needed item for the police vehicles. To carry on the mission statement of the ambulance it was decided by the ambulance corp members to include the fire comapnies as well. Pictured at the presentation were, John McArdle, Police Chief Sean Smith, David Walls of the Hauto Fire Company, Donald Schlier and Tyler Schlier of the New Columbus Fire Company.
