Lansford woman sentenced on drunk driving charge

A Lansford woman was among four who entered guilty pleas to criminal charges in Schuylkill County court and were sentenced.

Lauren Daderko, 34, of 445 E. Patterson St., pleaded guilty to driving under the influence (DUI) of drugs and was sentenced by Judge John E. Domalakes to serve 72 hours to six months in the county prison, however, since she spent 90 days in a rehab center in Anaheim, Calif., she was released on probation.On a charge of being involved in an accident with a car driven by Gene Keenly in Tamaqua she was ordered to serve an additional six months on probation. She also must pay a fine of $1,000, pay $100 to the Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund, $50 to Catastrophe fund, restitution of $105 to Bethlehem Regional Lab, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, complete an alcohol highway safety school course and maintain a self-directed recovery program. Her driver's license is suspended 12 months.Daderko was cited by Tamaqua Chief David Mattson.Judge Charles M. Miller sentenced the following:Bobbie Jo Machamer, 35, Tower City, pleaded guilty to corruption of minors and was sentenced to serve 23 months on probation, and pay $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA). On a charge of selling or furnishing alcohol beverages to minors received a concurrent 12 months probation sentence. Machamer was cited by Trooper Bernard Spece.Troy Daniel Langtry, 47, Tremont, pleaded guilty to a charge of fleeing police was sentenced to serve three to six years in a state correctional institution, pay a fine of $500, pay $100 to SAE fund, and $50 to CJEA. On a charge of recklessly endangering another person received a sentence of one to two years to run concurrent and possession of drug paraphernalia a sentence of six to 12 months to run concurrent. Langtry was cited by Patrolman Brian Pyle, Branch/Reilly Townships police.Kevin Lee Kahler, 57, Richland, pleaded guilty to resisting arrest and was sentenced to serve four to 12 months in the county prison with credit for serving one day in jail. He also was fined $500, and pay $50 to CJEA.On two counts of disorderly conduct he received a sentence of 12 months on probation on each count to run concurrent. On a charge fo failure to show a driver's license was fined $25 and for exceeding the speed limit by 13 miles per hour in a 35 miles per hour zone was fined $81 plus $100 in costs. Kahler was cited by Butler Township Lt. Daniel Holderman, Butler Township.Each defendant must also pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.Summary AppealSeth Valentine, 30, of 529 North Railroad Street, Tamaqua, withdrew his appeal from a summary conviction by a magisterial district justice and entered a guilty plea before Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin to a charge of harassing Matt Machman, of 305 Washington Street, Tamaqua, and the court ordered to pay the fine of $100 plus $125 cost imposed by the district judge.
