At a recent Nesquehoningf borough meeting, representatives of the Little League Association asked council why the basketball net was taken down from behind the Nesquehoning Recreation Center. The reason was that the basketballs kept hitting the police cruisers which are located next to the field. Since there is important equipment hooked up on top of the trunk of the cruisers it was pertinent to move the basketball net. The Nesquehoning Woman's Club purchased the new rim and net and the pole was moved further away from the police station.
