Monroe arrests

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on the following arrests made by officers recently.

On Sunday, April 24, about 8:33 p.m. officers were dispatched to Little Billy Lane, in Tobyhanna, for a reported domestic incident. Upon arrival officers spoke with Brent Brelsford, 41, and Amy Desantos, 29, both of Tobyhanna. After an investigation Desantos was placed under arrest for simple assault and harassment. She was placed in the county prison in Snydersville pending arraignment, police said.Also on Sunday, about 5:39 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle along SR196 at Ed's Towing, for not having a inspection sticker on the vehicle.After making contact with individuals in the vehicle a check was made and it was learned a passenger, identified as Richard A. Mojica, 21, of Blakeslee, had an active warrant for his arrest issued out of Laporte County by the probation office.He was taken into custody and lodge in the county prison pending his return to Laporte County.On April 20 officers responded to 538 Gap View Drive, Emerald Lakes, Long Pond, for a complaint of a dog locked in a vehicle. Upon arrival officers located the vehicle which contained two small dogs and two occupants.Officers identified the occupants as Tyrone McKenith, 18, of Wilkes-Barre, and Amanda Delacruz, 19, of Long Pond. A further investigation revealed the two were smoking marijuana inside the vehicle just prior to the arrival of the officers.McKenith was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. He will be charged with that offense. Delacruz was not charged.It was also determined that the dogs were in good health.
