AOH - helping those in need

True to their motto of motto of "Friendship, Unity and Christian Charity", members of the Ancient Order of Hibernians met at the Molly Maguires Pub & Steakhouse in Jim Thorpe this past Saturday to pack "Easter Dinner Baskets" for needy families. All are members of Carbon County Division I, Alec Campbell Mauch Chunk Division AOH who then personally delivered the baskets to the nine Catholic parishes throughout Carbon County. There were a total of 15 baskets, each one of which contained a ham, mashed potatoes, canned pineapple, cut green beans, whole kernel corn, and brownies. It was the decision of the pastor of each parish to decide which family received an Easter Dinner Basket. Pictured with just a few of the Easter Dinner Baskets which were prepared are, left to right : Hugh Dugan, John Barry, Matt Stinson, Chip Burnett, and Jerry McFadden.
