One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash April 20 at 3:28 p.m. at the intersection of Route 115 and Mountain Road in Blakeslee, according to Pocono Mountain Regional Police.

Polilce said Valerie Demarco, 61, of Pocono Lake, was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, after the crash. She was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved in the crash.Police said the accident happened after a Jeep Compass operated by Rosenie Lavoie, 44, of Blakeslee, traveling on Mountain Road, stopped at a stop sign and pulled out in an attempted to cross Rt. 115. The vehicle entered the path of a Nissan SUV driven by Richard Memarco, 63, of Pocono Lake, who was unable to avoid the collision.Police said the Demarco vehicle struck the driver's side of the Jeep and rolled over several times, coming to rest on its roof. Both vehicles sustained severe damages and were towed from the scene.Police said Lavoie will be cited for traffic violations.
