Admitting to staging a robbery of the Family Dollar Store in Pottsville proved costly to Jamie Torres-Dominguez, 44, as he was sentenced by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin to serve four to eight years in a state correctional institution and the sentence is to begin when he completes a sentence he is now serving in the Berks County prison.Beer can tossJohn Joseph Kamant Jr., 50, Port Carbon, for tossing a beer can at a vehicle, was sentenced by Judge Charles M. Miller to serve three to 12 months in the county prison. He entered a guilty plea to the charge and received credit for serving 22 days in prison.On a charge of public drunkenness he received a concurrent sentence of 30 days in prison. Pottsville Patrolman Eugene M. Yourey, who filed the charges, stated in his report that Kamant threw a full can of beer at a vehicle damaging the windshield.Long probationMolly Jo Jenkins, Tower City, pleaded guilty to a charge of retail theft of jewelry and other items from Walmart store in Saint Clair valued at $240 and was sentenced by President Judge William E. Baldwin to serve 18 months on probation and make full restitution to the store.Revoke probationStephanie Marie Knorr, 23, Frackville, had her probation revoked by Judge Dolbin and she was re-sentenced on charges of credit card theft and forgery to serve 11 to 23 months in the county prison with credit for serving 195 day. On a charge of criminal conspiracy she was sentenced to serve 48 months on probation to run concurrent to the prison sentence.William Francis McDonald, 41, Girardville, had his probation revoked by Judge John E. Domalakes but he was placed back on probation for 12 months but shall undergo mental health and drug and alcohol evaluations. He had entered guilty pleas to possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and was placed on probation in May 2, 2009, for 23 months.David Michael Hendricks, 31, Minersville, had his probation revoked by President Judge William E. Baldwin and he was placed back on probation for 12 months. He had pleaded guilty last February to possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and had been placed on probation for 12 months.Property transfersTodd L.
