Louis M. Hall a candidate for Jim Thorpe Borough Council

Louis M. Hall has announced his candidacy for a position of Jim Thorpe Borough Council for a four-year term. He is seeking the Republican nomination in the May 17 Primary Election.

Hall is the current chairman of the Jim Thorpe Planning Commission. Having served on the commission, he has been involved in the development of the 10-year Comprehensive Plan for Jim Thorpe, Summit Hill, Lansford and Penn Forest. This project is crucial to insure funding for these communities through the coming 10 years.The candidate has been a business owner for six years, operating a furniture, computer, T.V. and appliance store in Tannersville. Despite the store's location, he hired Jim Thorpe contractors and other professionals to do the build out and provide professional services, like insurance. He is currently serving as an elected member of his business' Franchise Advisory Council for the fourth year.Born in Wilkes-Barre, he began a life of travel as an infant as his father was an enlistee in the Army Air Corps whose career that took the family around the country as well England, Germany and Turkey.Hall and his wife, Becky, have been married for 23 years.Since moving to Jim Thorpe 12 years ago, he has been actively involved in the community as a member of the 142nd Masonic Temple. He was an organizer of the first Masons Charity Golf tournament, as well as the Dillies Golf Tournament for the first two years.With an education derived from a multitude of schools, he has a bchelor's degree in plitical sience from the College of William and Mary and Christopher Newport University in Virginia.Hall is a member of Airplanes Owners and Pilots Association,

A.O.P.A., and the

N.R.A., and is a social member of the Rod and Gun Club and the Dillies, both of Jim Thorpe.
