Drama performed on Good Friday at Zion Church in Lewistown Valley

Over 140 parishioners and guests filled the Zion Church social hall in Lewistown Valley, Tamaqua, on Good Friday for the performance, "What Really Happened the Night He Was Betrayed," a men's drama by Stephen C. Lovelady.

About 20 parishioners from both the Christ Church in McKeansburg and the Zion Church in Lewistown Valley, performed in the drama. The show coordinator was Terry Fluke. Prelude was done by Denise Hafer, while Dave Morrow served as narrator.Performers included Wade Fluke as "Jesus", Allen Mantz as "Simon Peter", Mark Shellhamer as "Andrew", Rob Gamble as "James", Josh Gruver as "John", Bert Leiby as "Phillip", John Fish as "Nathaniel", Charles Gerber as "Matthew Levi", Robert Dunn as "Thomas/Didymus", Mike Harmelin as "James the Less", Richard Steigerwalt as "Simon the Zealot", Ned Biege as "Thaddaeus," John Stock as "Judas Iscariot," Jonathan Heim as "John Mark" and Jordan Fish as "Benjamin."Every year, Zion Church and its sister, Christ Church, came together to hold a show to observe the religious holiday Good Friday, also known as Holy Friday, Great Friday or Easter Friday.
