First Steps

First Steps, a support group for mothers, will have its monthly meeting on Wednesday, May 4, at the Primitive Methodist Church, 55 Hunter St., Tamaqua. The meeting will be held in the church social room from 6:30-7:30 p.m.Participants will learn how to make decorative candle holders.The sessions are free and open to the public. This event is open to toddlers to children up to the age of 10.The North and Middle Ward Playground Association has rescheduled its event for this Saturday, at 2 p.m. The hunt will be held at the playground, on Washington Street, for children up to the age of 12.Class of 1953The Tamaqua Class of 1953 will hold its annual picnic reunion on June 25 at Leiby's Grove in the Lewistown Valley.Everyone who was a member of the class is welcome to attend.Invitations have been mailed.
